Workshops/Training Sessions:
In the mornings, participants take turns facilitating workshop/training sessions that delve into their current practice, physical/intellectual inquiry, methods, techniques, and other exploratory processes. Through these offerings, we build our collective capacity as movers and performers. Training together strengthens and extends our ability to access the expressive capacity of our bodies. These workshops are open to the Baltimore community on a sliding-scale basis.
Shared meal/Commune:
A midday meal is provided to all Move Move Collaborative participants and musicians. It is an important opportunity to develop deeper interpersonal connections with one another and has the propensity to enhance the work done during workshops and performance building. Move Move Collaborative makes an effort to provide meals that are nourishing and fulfill all dietary needs.
Performance Building:
Afternoons are dedicated to performance. We use consensus-based decision making to develop an evening length performance over the course of the first 7 days. The methodology of performance building is entirely dependent on the diversity of the group and what accumulates throughout the time spent together. This time is reserved for Move Move Collaborative temporary ensemble members.
